Why this part is needed

The reservoir acts as the system’s “fluid home.” It supports proper fluid level control, reduces foaming, and allows small air bubbles to separate before fluid returns to the pump. Many units also include internal filtering to stop fine debris from damaging the pump vanes.

How it works

Fluid returns from the steering gear into the reservoir, where it calms and de-aerates. From there, the pump draws fluid through the outlet and builds hydraulic pressure for steering assist. A sealed cap and strong housing help prevent leaks and contamination.
