Front Right ABS Wheel Speed Sensor

This front-right wheel speed sensor feeds the brake control unit with exact wheel rotation data. It keeps ABS, traction, and stability systems responsive, so you stop straight and safe in rain, snow, or gravel. Built for harsh road use, it resists moisture, dust, and heat near the hub.

Why this part is needed

Accurate wheel speed signals let the ECU modulate brake pressure, prevent wheel lock, and reduce skids. It also supports traction control during take-off and cornering. A healthy sensor means predictable braking and better tire life.

How it works

A magnetic/Hall element reads a toothed tone ring on the hub. As teeth pass, the sensor generates a pulse train. The ECU converts those pulses into real-time wheel speed and compares all wheels to react instantly.

If the sensor fails ⚠️

ABS/TRC/VSC lights appear, ABS deactivates, wheels may lock on slippery roads, traction control is reduced, and you’ll feel longer stopping distances. Fault codes like “front right wheel speed signal” are stored.

Tech notes ️

Inspect the tone ring for rust cracks, clean the mounting bore, route the harness away from the tire, and torque the fastener correctly. After fitting, clear DTCs and road-test.
