Rear Suspension Control Arm 🔧
This rear suspension link is needed to keep the wheel in the correct position while the vehicle is driving, braking, and turning. It supports proper wheel alignment and helps the rear suspension move smoothly over bumps. A strong arm keeps the tyre flat on the road, giving better grip, safer handling, and longer tyre life.
How It Works ⚙️
The arm connects the rear hub area to the suspension body mounting point. Its bushings absorb road vibration and allow controlled movement. When the wheel moves up and down, the arm guides that motion in the correct path, helping maintain camber and toe angle. This is very important for stable cornering and straight driving.
If This Part Is Broken ⚠️
A worn or bent arm can cause uneven tyre wear, knocking noise from the rear, poor alignment, unstable steering, or the vehicle pulling to one side. If the bushing is damaged, the rear wheel may feel loose, especially during braking or lane changes. Driving too long with a damaged suspension arm can also harm tyres, shock absorbers, and other suspension parts.
