Right‑Hand Ride Height/Level Sensor for Subaru ⚙️
This OEM‑grade rear right level sensor keeps your Subaru’s auto headlamp leveling accurate and the chassis electronics informed. It measures suspension position so the control unit can aim headlights correctly and stabilize braking and traction. Perfect replacement for worn or corroded sensors causing erratic beam aim or warning lights.
Why this part is needed
When the car is loaded or the road dips, beam height must stay steady to avoid glare and keep night vision strong. The sensor feeds live height data to the headlight leveling system and can also support ABS/VDC logic for safer control.
How it works
A small linkage connects the suspension arm to a sealed potentiometer. As the wheel moves, the arm rotates, changing voltage. The ECU reads this signal over the CAN bus and drives the headlamp stepper motors to the correct angle.
What happens if it’s broken ⚠️
Common signs: headlight leveling warning, beams too high/low, VDC/ABS lights, stored height sensor codes, flicker on bumps. Corrosion, cracked bracket, or a snapped link are typical failures. The system may lock into a default aim, reducing visibility and dazzling others. Inspect the rod and connector; replace as a complete unit. Fitment is bolt‑on; perform level calibration if specified.
