Front Door Latch Striker for Nissan

This is the Bโ€‘pillar latch post that the door lock claws grab onto. A precise striker keeps the front door aligned, closes with a solid click, and seals out wind and water. Built to OE geometry, it restores factory closing feel, reduces rattle, and improves safety.

Why this part is needed

Over time the striker face wears, its plastic sleeve (where fitted) cracks, or the finish corrodes. Even small play lets the door shift, causing slamming, squeaks, and poor weatherstrip compression. Replacing it brings back correct latch engagement and reliable door retention.

How it works

The latch in the door wraps around this hardened post and locks. The chamfered surface guides the latch, while the strikerโ€™s offset and shims allow millimetric adjustment so the door sits flush. Zinc coating fights rust; a polymer sleeve can dampen noise and vibration.

What happens if itโ€™s bad

  • Door bounces back or needs extra force to close
  • Rattling on bumps, wind noise, water ingress
  • Misaligned gaps and premature latch wear
  • In extreme cases, unsafe latching risk

Install tips

Mark old position, loosen the two bolts, set height/depth, tighten evenly, and test-close. Aim for smooth latch, even gaps, and quiet seal. Lightly grease the contact area.
