Front Brake Caliper Seal & Boot Kit ?️
This service kit is needed to keep the front brake caliper working smooth, clean, and leak-free. Inside the caliper, the hydraulic seal holds brake fluid pressure so the piston can push the pad with strong, even force. The outer dust boot protects the piston surface from water, sand, and road salt that quickly destroy braking parts.
How It Works ✅
When you press the brake pedal, fluid pressure moves the caliper piston forward. The inner seal flexes slightly and then “pulls back” the piston a tiny amount when you release the pedal, helping the pads disengage. The boot stays tight around the piston to block dirt while still allowing full piston travel.
If It’s Damaged ⚠️
A torn boot lets grime in, causing piston rust and sticking brakes. A worn seal can leak fluid, reduce braking power, and create a soft pedal. Ignoring it may lead to uneven pad wear, overheating, pulling to one side, and possible brake failure.
